Gifts
  • - Gifts refer to anything that can bring economic benefits, such as money (cash, gift certificates, vouchers, etc.) and goods.
  • - One must not provide, demand, or receive gifts from stakeholders under any pretext. However, the following cases are exceptions:
    · Promotional or advertising gifts not exceeding 50,000 won
    · Commemorative items with the stakeholder's company logo not exceeding 50,000 won and commemorative items generally provided to participants at events hosted by stakeholders
    · Congratulatory or condolence money (including wreaths) not exceeding 100,000 won provided to stakeholders
  • - f gifts are unavoidably received without knowledge, they must be returned. If it is difficult, a return must be reported to the Jeongdo Management Office.
Entertainment
  • - Entertainment refers to various activities that facilitate human gatherings and exchanges due to business, such as meals, drinking, golf, performances, and other entertainment.
  • - Entertainment exceeding 100,000 won per person cannot be given or received from stakeholders. If entertainment exceeding 100,000 won per person must be given or received for business reasons, prior approval from the department head is required. If entertainment exceeding 100,000 won is unavoidably given or received, it must be reported to the Jeongdo Management Office.
    However, for public officials, journalists, educators, and others subject to the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, food and beverages up to 30,000 won per person can be provided only when legitimate purposes such as smooth job performance, social courtesy or rituals are recognized.
  • - If gifts are unavoidably received without knowledge, they must be returned. If it is difficult, a return must be reported to the Jeongdo Management Office.
